Honestly, although Punta Pacifica’s beaches can compete well with those located in Florida, there is not that much lodging options in the area, save for a few apartments that some locals put up for rent for those who, for some unexplainable reasons, need to stay overnight in the town. In other words, there is not a single hotel in Punta Pacifica that can be mentioned here. Punta Pacifica is not considered as a tourist destination. But well, that’s for now. By the time Donald J. Trump’s real estate project in the area, Trump Ocean Club, opens, Punta Pacifica will become visible in Panama’s tourism brochures and Punta Pacifica hotels will invade Google — that’s for sure.
What’s with Trump Ocean Club? Well, Trump Ocean Club is not purely a hotel. It’s quite a big project, really. Aside from hotel condominium units, the project is also scheduled to include private condominium units, parking spaces, retail shops, casino, spa, gym, pools, a business center and everything else that a typical Trump lodging enterprise has. For sure, once this hotel/condominium/mall property finally opens, other hotel magnates will build hotels around the area as well. Wait for two years or so and find yourself having lots of Punta Pacifica hotels choices.
